XI. Nuclear explosions, 1945–2013
In February 2013 the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK, or North Korea) conducted its third nuclear test explosion, following tests conducted in October 2006 and April 2009.1 This event brought the total number of nuclear explosions recorded since 1945 to 2055.
