SIPRI continues to seek ways to make best use of this Yearbook and its contents as a tool of transparency and accountability. SIPRI has been translating its Yearbook, in full, into Chinese, Russian and Ukrainian for many years. We are seeking means to continue the translation of the entire text in these languages, as well as in Arabic (which we have done periodically), French and Spanish. We shall continue to produce translations of a summary version in Catalan, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish, all of which are available on the SIPRI website. Hence, the research conducted at the Institute is making a direct contribution to promoting the debate about peace and security, including in some of the most conflict-prone parts of the world.
