V. Arms production and military services
Sales of arms and military services as measured by the SIPRI Top 100—a ranking of the world’s largest arms-producing and military services companies (excluding China) according to arms sales—totalled $371 billion in 2015 (see table 10.7). Compared with 2014, this was a decrease of 0.6 per cent.1 The Top 100 total in 2015 was 14 per cent lower than the peak sales total of $433 billion observed in 2010 and marks the fifth consecutive year of decline in real terms.
