The unfolding environmental crisis was addressed by two major intergovernmental meetings in 2022: the 27th conference of parties (COP27) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in November, and the 15th conference of parties (COP15) of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), held in October and December.70
