SIPRI Yearbook 2012

Welcome to the 43rd edition of the SIPRI Yearbook, our flagship publication. This volume—published initially in English in hard copy and online, and soon to be translated into Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Ukrainian—will be read by political leaders, policymakers, security experts, business strategists, diplomats, journalists, researchers and other keen observers of the global scene around the world. Since 1969, readers have sought and found in the SIPRI Yearbook the single most comprehensive annual compendium on developments in international security, armaments and disarmament.
